Poem: I Wish I Had by my Uncle

This poem is by my Uncle, Joe Ceo, who if he was still alive would be 61. Since his birthday was yesterday, and he is one my biggest role models (and I have his named tattooed on my arm) I thought I’d share…enjoy! ❤
I WISH I HAD
I wish I had a super car
To give my friends a greet!
But till insurance and gas decrease,
I’m glad I have two feet!
I wish I had a kitchen
Run by push button command!
But since my kitchen’s still a dream,
I’m glad I have two hands!
I wish I had a telescope
To scan the starry skies!
But till the clouds of smog subside,
I’m glad I have two eyes!
I wish I had a magic tongue
To speak of wisdom and choice!
But till the words express themselves,
i’m glad I have a voice!
I wish I had an instrument
To make out freedom ring!
But till we learn to read the notes,
I’m glad that I can sing!
I wish I had a megaphone
To shout away our fears!
But till ones prayer for peace is heard,
I’m glad I have two ears!
I wish I had a manual
To give young love some tips!
But till we kiss disease goodbye,
I’m glad I have two lips!
Two feet to carry me to friends
Two hands to clasp in theirs!
Two eyes to count the stars above,
A voice to say my prayers!
A song to stir our lonely hearts
Two ears to hear each care,
Two lips to smile to everyone –
Why, I’m a millionaire!
